Leading producer and exporter of dry fruits Horticulture and floriculture are the mainstays of economy also renowned for hand loom and handicrafts products. Jammu and Kashmir, the Northern-most state of India, shares its international border with China, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

‘The state lies in the Greater-Himalayan ranges and Is enclosed with mountains and valleys Chenab, Jhelum and Ravi, all part of the Indus River System, are the major rivers that flow through the state.

The state is well-connected with an international airport in Srinagar and two domestic airports in Jammu and Leh. The state is home to about 53 industrial estates and over 29,400 small-scale enterprises with an investment of over $ 568 mn. There are several upcoming rope ways and cable car projects to facilitate better tourist movement.
